The event was very well organized with two orientation sessions the day before. The swim setting is very scenic with the with the high bluffs surrounding Lake Winona. It is a longer, more narrow lake so even though it was a windy morning, there were not big waves. The bike course was more challenging than the average course with quite a few hills especially at the beginning with a longer, challenging climb. It was a nice course and was not too challenging. There were plenty of very helpful volunteers throughout the race. The buffet was fine with a couple of sandwich options. Overall it was one of my favorite race courses.
