Benchmarks & Performance Scores
To give athletes the opportunity to objectively compare their own performance as well as the performance of other athletes across events, we have developed a method to calculate benchmark times for most events. The Performance Score is calculated based on the performance of an athlete compared to the benchmark times. So you get a score from 1 to 10 for each performance and for each athletes to ojectively compare athlete’s performances. Athlete’s Ranking & Performance History
With the Ranking History you can see the historical ranking of every aquabike athlete to see how it developed over time. The Performance History shows, how the performance of an athlete for swim, bike and overall developed over time and you can compare it with the average and the top performers of his respecitve gender, age group or country. Comprehensive Race Statistics
If you love to browse through statistics, this one is for you! You get to see the Competition Score for every race, showing how competitive the men’s and the women’s races were – and also how strong each age group was. Find out how the swim, bike and finish times were spread or compare athletes in the chart for the Swim/Bike-Performance Spread. See statistics for countries in international races or states in US races. Or take a look at the race’s history, to see previous winners and how numbers of participants and Competition Score developed over time. To give you an example how it looks like, we made the full statistics for the 2024 Standard Distance World Championships in Torremolinos public for everybody.
Aquabike.World Competition Analysis
You want to know more about the competitors in your next race? Maybe you would like to get an idea if you have a chance to win the race or you can make it on the podium of your age group? Then the Aquabike.World Competition Analyser is the perfect tool for you!
The Aquabike.World Competition Analysis will rank the athlete by their Performance Score, including their predicted finish time, calculated based on their past race results. So you basically get a prediction of the race result but it´s not just a simple list of athletes, but also provides detailed information about every aquabike athlete and his latest race results. You can filter the analysis by gender or age group and also leave your own remarks to each athlete.
If your next race provides a start list about a week before the race, we will create a competition analysis and you will get an email to access it. But you can also use the Competition Analyser to create your very own analysis.

Karen from ChiliTri offers aquabike training plans for athletes of all performance levels and all distances of aquabike races on Final Surge and Training Peaks. If you sign up for a premium account you will get a free aquabike training plan, either for standard, half or full distance aquabike races as pdf (you’ll get the download links sent by email after your registration/upgrade). Of course, a simple pdf training plan cannot provide many of the benefits of a training plan on Final Surge or Training Peaks, but it is certainly a great way to start with some structured training.
