Event Description
(provided by race organizer)Be part of Outlaw's first long distance Aquabike event, which features as part of the Outlaw Nottingham weekend on 28 July.
The National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham is perfect for Multisport with transition, parking and the start and finish all very close together. Note that bikes are to be racked on Saturday 27 July and the first starts will be at 6am on Sunday.
Swim 2.4 miles in the Regatta Lake followed by a 112 mile bike ride around the mostly flat Nottinghamshire countryside. There is just one small climb to tackle, which is followed by a long descent. Don't be fooled into thinking it's going to be easy, though - if the wind is up, this can be a challenging course!
Start with the triathlon competitors for the swim, then complete your bike ride before stopping the clock when you cross the line into T2 - then you can walk, jog or run to the orange carpeted finish area in front of the grand stand to collect your medal and t-shirt and find out where you finished in your category. (Time from T2 to finish area is not part of your race time).
All competitors will receive a high quality medal and finisher's shirt as well as a post race meal and access to the recovery zone.
