(provided by race organizer)The Warmseal Northumberland triathlon is located right next to the stunning Druridge bay, on a beautiful stretch of Northumberland coastline. The Druridge bay Country Park is a popular place to cycle, run, swim, walk, paddle and surf and is perfect for a fun family day out.
The swim will be in the warm shallow freshwater Ladyburn Lake set within the park grounds. The bike route will take you out of the Country Park along a beautiful coastal route
The Warmseal Northumberland triathlon is a successful and enjoyable event attracting a wide range of competitors from all abilities. It is very well suited to beginners, equally attractive to seasoned competitors and those Competitors wishing to move up from sprint to standard distance. The standard of racing will be competitive but fun and spectators will be out in force to cheer competitors on, providing a truly amazing atmosphere. An ideal race in your open water Aquabike season!
The Country park comprises of a café, Visitors centre, outdoor children’s play area, sheltered picnic areas and camping and motor home facilities for you to enjoy and relax. The famous fish n’ chip`s from the fishing village of Amble are only 3 miles away, the historic Warkworth Castle is 5 miles, or you could just visit the beautiful Northumberland coastal villages along the coastline, taking in all that Northumberland has to offer. Newcastle city centre is approximately 20 miles South.
