The Waldviertler Eisenmann is a traditional middle distance triathlon event taking place in Litschau which lies in the most northern region of Austria, not far from the border to Czechia. Since 2019 they also offer an aquabike event.
The swim starts at 11:10 in the morning together with the middle distance triathlon in the Herrensee (Man´s Lake) only a few metres away from the town centre. The bike course is a quite hilly and demanding 28 km lap which has to be done three times with a total elevation gain of staggering 1.350 meters (450 meters per lap).
