Event Description
(provided by race organizer)The award-winning Outlaw Half Holkham Weekend features an Aquabike event for the first time ever on Sunday 7 July 2024.
World class organisation and a truly stunning venue at Holkham Estate in North Norfolk will help ensure that this is an event to remember.
Note that bikes are to be racked on Saturday 6 July and the first starts will be at 6am on Sunday.
Swim 1.2 miles in the lake, which is directly next to transition. Then you'll complete a single-lap 56 mile bike ride along the coast line and inland past Sandringham Estate.
Aquabike athletes will be seeded with the triathlon competitors - start times are determined by submitted swim times and athletes will start individually or in pairs in a time trial format. The clock stops when you cross the line into T2 and then you can walk, jog or run to the orange carpeted finish area to collect your medal and t-shirt and find out where you finished in your category. (Time from T2 to finish area is not part of your race time).
All competitors will receive a high quality medal and finisher's shirt as well as a post race meal and access to the recovery zone.
A bespoke campsite is constructed for this event and is just metres from transition. Come along to the 'Eat & Meet' event on Saturday night for a pre race meal and a chance to meet pro athletes.
