Cypress Sprint Triathlon 2026 Race Review

Year of participation: 2026 I participated in Aquabike
Cypress is the biggest Sprint triathlon in the greater Houston area. Dubbed the “World Championship” of the season. It is extremely well organized, sponsored and volunteer supported. The swim course is 500m 90% straight line. With a right hand hook at the end. It is held in a neighbor pond that is well kept. Nothing amazing. But you can really get after it. The is very flat and fast. Only 1 U-Turn at the turn around. And 4 easy turns. With 2 out of transition. And the same 2 coming back into transition. This race normally draws about 10-15 deep for the AB field.
