  1. Hyannis Triathlon 2 2026 - Sprint Aquabike Race Review

This review was submitted for Hyannis Triathlon 2 2026 - Sprint Aquabike

Year of participation: 2026   I participated in Aquabike

The race was very well organized and operated. The race director is an excellent communicator, experienced and provided all needed information. She held a pre-race zoom meeting with questions and answers, and the athletes guide was very thorough. Ocean swim was set up well and easy to navigate and very visible for spectators. The run from the water to the transition area was a bit long and the asphalt lot could have been swept better to eliminate the small stones that hurt the feet. Signage in/out were well done and visible. The bike course was well staffed with ample volunteers at all intersections and police controlling the traffic. One short section was reduced to a single file lane that slowed me down behind a slower rider but was necessary for safety. Some rough spots on the road with potholes and rough patched potholes.
The finish buffet was excellent with many healthy choices and delicious sandwiches. Volunteers were efficient and friendly. The MC kept everyone informed of all the pertinent information about the race and the sequence of events to take place and played excellent music.
The awards ceremony was cramped and congested and difficult to observe but the trunk organizer and award certificate was much appreciated for the top 3 in male and female finishers. I would recommend this race and do it again. Arriving at the parking lot at 5:30 am when packet pick up started was very dark entering the parking lot and I recommend better lighting in the future. Overall, I give it a high rating and well organized for about 800 athletes.
