Well Organized and Challenging Race

Year of participation: 2024 I participated in Aquabike
As my first time entry into the race I knew the distances were going to be challenging. The swim is always fast in the Flatwater Centre – straight, out and back with no waves. The bike is 90k on a flat course which is also fast. Wind can be challenging. The volunteers here are excellent, helpful and friendly. The organization of the race is top-notch. I would highly recommend this race to anyone that enjoys Aquabike!

The swim is in a rowing canal, which is lovely as you can follow the under water lines and never have to sight.
The transition is close and easy to maneuver
The bike course has 25km open roads and the other 65km is a closed 2.5 loop course. Only the slightest elevation in the first 20km and the rest is with the river/falls on one side and beautiful homes on the other.
The fuelling stops are a placed great.
I love the handshake from the race director as you cross the finish line
The volunteers and staff are fantastic
