Hello Max.
I’m really excited about this.
I suffered an incomplete spinal cord injury in January and it turned my life upside down, having previously been an active cyclist doing mountain biking, sportives and I’d just started cyclocross. However, I’m doing the Supers Tri event on Saturday, an event for people with disabilities, and as part of my rehab I’ve been swimming and cycling. I have difficulties walking and need a stick for balance. So these Swin ride events are absolutely perfect for me. I’m going to try to join the event Carnforth in October for a taster and hopefully I’ll be at a good few events next year.
I look forward to getting stuck in, this is just what I needed.
Kind regards
Pete Watts
Hi Pete,
Oh, that doesn´t sound good. But glad to hear about your progress and of course your excitement about Swim&Bike events!
Btw, a little hint, when you´re looking for an event: Due to your injury you probably prefer events that end at the entry of the transition zone directly after the bike leg, so you don´t have to run/walk to the finishline. If you use our event search, you can filter events by “finishline location”. Just choose “At T2 entry” and you´ll only find events, where you don´t need to rush to the finishline 😉
cheers, Max
